Residential lighting is personal. A Frederiksberg dining room needs different treatment than a Nordhavn penthouse with floor-to-ceiling glazing. We design schemes that support daily routines — morning preparation, evening relaxation, entertaining — while respecting ceiling heights, existing wiring constraints, and Danish electrical standards (Stærkstrømsbekendtgørelsen).
Our residential projects typically involve collaboration with the client's architect or interior designer. We join at sketch design stage when possible, allowing lighting to be integrated into ceiling coffers, joinery, and structural elements rather than added as an afterthought.
Room-by-room expertise
Living & dining areas
Ambient wash from cove or perimeter lighting, accent on artwork and shelving, and flexible task zones for reading. Pendant heights calculated for seated eye level. Typical specification: 150–300 lux ambient with 500 lux task zones, UGR below 19.
Kitchens
Under-cabinet task lighting, uniform ceiling illumination over work surfaces (minimum 500 lux at counter height), and decorative pendants over islands. IP44 minimum for splash zones. Colour rendering index CRI 90+ for food preparation areas.
Bathrooms
IP65 rated downlights in shower zones, side-lit mirror solutions to eliminate facial shadows, and warm-dim options (2700K–3000K) for evening use. We coordinate with tile and sanitary suppliers for recess integration.
Bedrooms & studies
Low-level night navigation lighting, bedside reading circuits on separate dimming channels, and blackout-compatible blackout switch zones. Study desks receive directional task light without screen glare.
Stairs & corridors
Our signature strength: step-level markers, handrail-integrated LED strips, and transition zones that prevent the "light shock" of moving between rooms at night. Minimum 100 lux on tread surfaces per Danish accessibility guidance.
Exterior & garden
Facade washing, path markers, terrace dining zones, and tree uplighting. All exterior schemes address light pollution limits and neighbour sightline sensitivity required in dense Copenhagen neighbourhoods.

All packages include a site visit within Copenhagen municipality. Surrounding municipalities (Frederiksberg, Gentofte, Gladsaxe, etc.) incur a travel supplement of 850 DKK.
